Marysia under observation

August 9 2025

Hello Dear Friends. I won't speak because I can't quite open my mouth. I have oral mucositis (mucositis) from antibiotics that acceptance.

CRP above 20, PCT dropped to 1.

All cultures that have come back from the lab so far are negative.

More are in the pipeline. The temperature is jumping but is already more stable. More like up to 38 degrees. The central port was closed with an antibiotic injection. I was given a puncture in the other hand. Now I have hands that drink IVs. I'm still being monitored because my tachycardia is coming out. Not just from the fever. There was an endocrinologist and she reduced my levothyroxine dose. Adjustment of all medications is advisable, because after the amputation of my leg, my weight has finally decreased significantly.

Yesterday was a slew of tests. In addition to blood every few hours is a CT scan from which came out a few flowers. In the head part, the neurosurgeons see no problems. The valve and port do not indicate infection. The ventricles of the brain are normal. In the chest section, a clot in the pulmonary artery was detected. It may have formed during the operation. The heart echo did not detect an increase in blood pressure. As a result, I am receiving heparin injections again. 🙁 Minimal dose due to low platelets. Yesterday was also another platelet transfusion. In the abdominal section, fluid clusters were detected in the rectal area on the right side, that is, near the amputation wound. The neurosurgeon took cerebrospinal fluid from the valve - it was transparent. The initial culture was negative. There was an ophthalmologist at night and she found no abnormalities.

A team was assembled: a neurosurgeon, major surgeon, oncologist, orthopedist, endocrinologist, cardiologist, and they said they would watch for 48-72 hours to see how the situation develops. Of course, I'm getting antibiotics. We are waiting for the other cultures to come back. So far they are all negative. I believe I am in good hands. Pray (or keep your fingers crossed) that the doctors have only good ideas and conclusions. And that I get back in shape quickly to continue with the planned treatment.

Kisses
