Marysia Szlązak is a 5-year-old girl from Świdnik near Lublin who suffers from a malignant brain tumor. After diagnosis and the first operation, in June 2018, she was hospitalized in the Children’s Hospital in Lublin. After 4 months she was transfered to the Bambino Gesu Hospital in Rome. She had experienced several cycles of chemotherapy and numerous complications required many other surgical procedures.
With the help of many friends, as well as completely unknown for the family people, it was possible to raise funds for Marysia’s one year stay in Rome. Than she did 8 weeks of intensive neurological rehabilitation in specialist centre of Pediatric Hospital Bambino Gesu and got orthosis and postural stroller.
As a result of long-term cancer and its treatment, during which there was, among others, there was hypoxia and numerous infections of the cerebrospinal fluid, Marysia suffers from balance disorders, concentration problems and endocrine problems.
Her only chance to regain fitness is regular NTD-BObath rehabilitation, sensory integration classes, physiotherapy, vision therapy and meetings with a psychologist and a neurologist.
It all comes with numerous costs.
That is why we dare to ask for some more support.
You can help by depositing some on Marysia’s account in the “Kawałek Nieba” foundation. All forms of assistance are described in the Support tab.
